I love everything I see in your shop. The colors speak to me and now that my boxes arrived from Phat Fiber I can only say they're even better in person! Thank you so much for all your donations. I'm so new to spinning and am starting on a drop spindle. My goal is to get some of the fiber to actually stop falling apart and become some kind of yarn-any kind at this point! lol I ordered a Phat Fiber fiber box & a yarn box just to see which would work out better for me. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of your yarn in each box :-0 I got the beautiful brown yak yarn-I've never felt yak or bamboo and was so excited to feel how soft they are, and how it's not really just brown when you hold it, it's more a blended, glimmery soft color; just so lovely. What are your suggestions for ideal projects with this type of yarn? By popular demand, I'm a sockie, but I knit baby items for the local hospital and Preemie hats & blankets for the hospitals who need them. My daughter is a scarfaholic & I've always got one WIP in the basket. So I'm open to all suggestions.
The other sample was the one that I fell in love with the minute i saw it;once I touched it I wanted to marry it ;-) and it had the best name ever-SWAMP. The merino & cashmere blend is a dream and when my 23 yr old daughter saw it she said-cool colors, can you make US(nice to include her brother & boyfriend in this)all socks in that? So I held it up to her & said yes if you all have very very tiny feet, and I handed her the sample. The ooos & aahhhs I heard as she rubbed it all over her face made me smile & I thought you should know how your work has effected us. btw, she is a girl who lives for pink so to want swamp-well, that's a huge compliment. I think swamp would make excellent socks and would be interested in purchasing some to get started.Unless I missed something and had an estrogen moment, I couldn't find the yarn in your etsy shop; I did see roving but everybody on this side of the pond would laugh so hard the Atlantic waves would rise up and toss us into the abyss just to think I could spin the yarn. They'd be right, sad to say. So if you happen to have the cashmere/merino swamp I would be honored to purchase it from you even if it means they eat spaghetti for 2 years! lol Drop me a line anytime-I'm MamaKin on Rav
